The Teacher’s Room: a true story
A romantic, original nest of a room that tells a story…
When we first visited the old school, we heard stories about teachers sleeping in the attic, and upon entering that fascinating space, we caught a glimpse of a large tub, an old terracotta stove and a table for a sewing machine … it felt as if we could see the teacher there, lit by an oil lamp. We then found out that only one teacher was forced to stay there during the night. She was from Vicenza and the roads at that time wouldn’t allow her to return home.
We loved this story so much, we knew that we had to call this room “The Teacher’s Room”. It includes a sewing machine table, but the “tub” has become a beautiful Belle Époque-style bath tub.
The room is a small “loft”, where you can see the impact of the scenic restoration, where steel and old wood meet and a bath tub with a panoramic view while relaxing. During the summer the room remains cool thanks to the breeze that always caresses our school. For two people.
